Yummies...

Mr. Brady was quite the Big Boy today... This morning he successfully took a bottle from Mommy, without any problems!! The last 2 times I've left him with his grandma's and a bottle of breast milk, he didn't really cooperate...and screamed bloody murder instead. So with the start of daycare less than 2 weeks away, I figured we better get on this little problem he's got with the plastic nipple. Knowing of these last 2 experiences I was prepared for a battle, but it was nothing of the sort. I coaxed him along a little as I cleverly positioned my pinkie at his lips for the texture and scent of Mommy, just to ease into things a little... Mommy's always know the right tricks ;-) Thankfully it wasn't just a coincidence, as he took another bottle without problems before bed tonight. Tomorrow Daddy will try, and we'll see if he's got the right touch... Its not gonna do much good if he'll only take a bottle from me.

But the biggest accomplishment today was his attempt with the Big Boy cereal...

The first introduction to cereal isn't recommended until 4-6 months (despite what your grandmothers say), so since he'll be 4 months in just 2 days, and likes to eat, we thought we'd try it out of curiosity. He LOVED it!! The first mix of cereal is really runny (1 Tbsp cereal to 4 Tbsp Breast milk) but he did very well moving it around with his tongue and opening up when the spoon came at him. Its a bit tricky getting a spoonful of runny cereal past those swinging arms... not to mention the near disaster when he got a hold of the bowl. Daddy did the honors with the first bowl of cereal, while Dylan and Riley giggled and cheered Brady on, and mommy played photographer... It was our Friday night family entertainment.
Little bowl of cereal + tiny spoon + curious little man = Such a sloppy face...

Love the adorable cereal face. It goes to quickly and then they are eating regular people food. He sure is a doll, glad he took those bottles for you. I am sure that is one more thing to cross off, on your list of to do's before you start work. Have a great last week with the boys, I am sure you guys have lots of fun packed into the upcoming week.
